Rod has over 30 years’ experience in consumer and business law, and specialises in wealth protection, business succession and personal estate planning.  He has been a director of numerous companies including Unconventional Conventions and NFPs, with clients also benefitting from Rod’s first hand commercial experience.  Rod is author of the acclaimed text ‘Understanding Wills and Estate Planning” and, prior to joining Keypoint, was National Practice Group Leader of Slater & Gordon’s Wealth Protection and Estate Planning division.

With over three decades of legal experience in personal, business and corporate law, I have expertise in personal succession planning, business exit planning, asset protection and insolvency law and practice.

► What I do:
I educate and train people and their professional advisers about the need for planning their financial and personal affairs and then work with their other advisors to design and document the plan.
The plans focus on:
(1) structuring of current personal, business, financial and legal affairs to achieve asset protection, tax minimisation and risk minimisation and,
(2) the effective passing of businesses, investments and personal assets from one generation to the next whilst preserving the asset protection, tax minimization and risk minimisation.
